Window display

The window display is River Island in Leeds. This window display shows men and women clothes in separate windows display. This shows that the

windows are aimed at different target markets.

The colours that they use in the window are white, cream, grey and black. These colours are plain so the people will focus on the product that are shown instead of focusing on the background. The colours remind me of autumn colours, which are brown, white and cream colours.

The theme of the men’s window display show white background with a grey square, which also has smaller square that are lighter colour. On the floor of the window display shows a white floor with black lines. On the women’s window display shows also a white background with cream square in the middle, which has 3D white scarves. On the floor of the window display is plain white.

The lighting on the men’s window display shows light coming from the top, which are focusing on the four mannequins. There is also smaller lights, which are coming from the top. The lighting on the women’s window display are same as the men’s but it has one more lighting as their five mannequins.

The men’s window display shows on trend clothing for autumn and winter. It shows causal wear, going out and winter wears. This shows different outfit that men can wear during the season. The women’s’ widow display shows going out and causal wear. The colour that use for men’s clothes are red, purple, grey, blue and black. Women’s clothes colours are cream, black and grey. All the colours remind me of autumn and winter.

My style icon

My style icon is Kim Kardashian because all the outfits that she wears are stylist and glamour. In her earlier career she used to work for dad Music Company she was bought up in middle class family. Her mother Kris Jenner was previously married to Robert Kardashian. And they had daughters and son called Kourtney, Kim, Khole and Robert Kardashian. When her parents got divorce Kris Jenner re-married to Bruce Jenner. Bruce also had been previous married. His children are step brothers and sister to the Kardashian are Burton, Brandon Brody and Casey Jenner. Kris and Bruce Jenner had Kendall and Kylie Jenner in their new marriage.


Then Kim started to be stylist for photo shoots and celebrity stylist to Paris Hilton. In 2006 the Kardashian opened a boutique called Dash. Dash has branched out from LA and now is in Miami. Her mum Kris Jenner and her sister Kourtney have opened a boutique called Smooch, which sells clothes for children.

And now the Kardashian have their own TV show called keeping up with the Kardashian on channel E!. The programme shows Kim lifestyle, work and her family. She has only been in film like disaster movie, been cover of magazines and also appeared in American TV shows. Kim has her own perfume, fitness DVD, started on a new jewellery line and not only that she got her Shoe Company called ShoeDazzle.com. Kim Kardashian is an enterprise genius that has thought of everything for the fashion world made affordable.

Kim Kardashian is style icon because she wears clothes that suit her hourglass figure and she know how to accessories her outfits. Other celebrity’s are looking at her style and copying it in their own way. Demi Lovato has recently said in people magazine interview “What do Disney star Demi Lovato,17, and Kim Kardashianhave in common?” Curves—and confidence. “I just love the way that she dresses.” Kim has given confidences to people in what they should wear. And she is also a trendsetter by wearing one shoulder dress that the public and other celebrity have copyed.
